Objectives:To assess the safety and tolerability of cialis, an oral tablet, in Thai adolescents with ED.
Design:Randomized controlled trial.
Setting:Pharmacological-based cohort study.
Participants: reinvested children from 6 months to 10 years of age with an oral tablet (Cialis®) once a day (TID) from November 2012 to May 2013.
Intervention:Children aged 12 months to 17 years were randomized to receive daily Cialis, either once a day (TID) from November 2012 to May 2013 or a combination of TID and a placebo once a day for one week.

Results:In the TID group, the incidence of side effects was significantly higher in the placebo group than in the Cialis group. The incidence of events was significantly higher in the TID group in the 5-day treatment group than in the placebo group in the 5-day group and the placebo group in the 2-day group. The rates of adverse events were not different between the TID and TID group; however, the rate of events was higher in the TID group in the 5-day treatment group than in the placebo group. The incidence of adverse events in the TID group was significantly higher than the TID group in the 5-day treatment group; however, the incidence of events was higher in the TID group in the 2-day group. The rates of adverse events in the TID group were significantly higher in the placebo group than in the placebo group.
Conclusion:Cialis is well tolerated in Thai adolescents with ED. The safety of Cialis in this study is similar to that of TID and the rates of adverse events were similar in the 2-day treatment groups.
